At ZeroRez®, we understand that your family’s pets can be your carpet’s worst enemy. Pet owners’ number one concern tends to be how to get pet smells out of their homes. Traditional carpet cleaners often address the carpet surface by trying to clean the visible animal waste, leaving a much larger problem underneath the carpet. The pet stains can affect the carpet backing and pad, the floor’s subsurface and sometimes the baseboards and walls. Many techniques simply mask remaining odors be spreading perfumes, oils or other odor masking agents, offing only temporary results.
In some cases our normal carpet cleaning process may be all that is needed to remove your pet stains. In more severe cases, the urine sometimes soaks through the carpet backing into the padding and floor beneath. In this case, the problem has become “multi-layered” and effective cleaning must be addressed to each layer of the problem. At ZeroRez®, we have patented methods to clean your pet stains, even if the issue is beyond the surface. We will do all in our power to have your homes smelling fresh and pet-stain free.
In order for ZeroRez® to effectively remove any and all pet stains and spillages, you need to be able to detect all areas that your pet unfortunately was able to get to. This doesn’t seem like it would be a challenging task, but if the remnants have dried then it can very difficult to make sure you have cleaned every area that needed a thorough washing. There are two methods you can use to make sure the mess your pet left is fully washed and odor-free.
The first method you can use is to lean down and smell the entire area around the area where the accident occurred. Even if the spill has dried and become invisible, it will still leave an odor that will be detectable if your nose is close enough to the rug or carpet. If your pet accident was a particularly bad one, it may be a good idea to use a black light. When turning all the regular lights in your home off and turning on the blacklight, all stains that you may have missed will become very visible. Once the missed stains are located, ZeroRez® will take care of them in no time.
Types of floors that need Pet Treatment Cleaning:
Area and oriental rug cleaning
Laminate floor cleaning
Tile floor cleaning
ZeroRez® can take care of even the worse pet-caused carpet and rug stains, but there are steps you can take to ensure the problem doesn’t continue to repeat itself in the future. It is imperative to make sure you clean all areas as thoroughly as you possibly can. Your pet will be more likely to return to the scene of the crime in the future if it continues to smell its personal scent from the accident on the rug, so ensuring even the worst of multi-layered spillages are fully cleaned is of the utmost importance. If you are able to successfully do this, it is much less likely your pet will choose your rug as a spontaneous bathroom area in the future. Positive reinforcement when your pet goes to the bathroom outdoors is the final step to hopefully prevent any and all future pet accidents.
